Social anxiety and awkwardness is something we can all pretty much relate to. Don't lie. You know you've had your fair share of embarrassing moments, but, here, Tomoko takes social awkwardness to a whole different level - forcing us to relive those tragic bleak moments of our lives, while allowing us to laugh at ourselves too.

Spring Anime 2013 [Belated Final Impressions]

Here are my belated final impressions on the series that ended this past Spring 2013. In no particular order: [Hataraku Maou-sama!, Kakumeiki Valvrave, Chihayafuru 2, Oreimo 2, Suisei no Gargantia, and Haiyore! Nyaruko-san W].

 

Winter 2013 Anime [Final Impressions]

Amnesia:
Reverse harems. Gotta love them. But I've seen better. Although, game and VN adaptations tend to run on a different level from say, manga adaptations. Pacing, for example, is different. In this case, the direction the anime took was very similar to its game counterpart. You've got your main heroine on one hand, and your group of bishies lined up and ready to woo her on the other. But in terms of plot, the story isn't exactly grade A material and the characters are very one-dimensional. Nevertheless, the mystery behind the series did keep me piqued and curious, and the animation was top notch. However, the mystery and fanservice began to lose its flare about halfway through the series. The show is mediocre at best. [6.85/10] - D+

Fall 2012 Anime [Final Impressions]

Hello~ Since I haven't gotten around to my final impressions post from last season, I thought I'd share my last impressions on the two-cour series from Fall12 that finished along with the anime of Winter13. I'll post my final impressions on Winter13 sometime next week, along with a post of my first impressions of Spring13. Lately, a lot of my focus has been on school work and such, which explains my lack of activity here. Please understand, fleshing out posts here takes a lot more of my time, but I am pretty active on Twitter and Tumblr. Drop by if you'd like. :)

Shinsekai yori 25: Final Impressions

Unlike my prior speculations, the overall outcome was a lot more obvious and direct than I anticipated.  Nevertheless, it managed to deliver one fantastic, complacent episode.

Jormungand: Perfect Order 10 - 12 [Final]

Episode 10:  It's been a while, but I am determined to get these final impressions out of the way. Even if it means being more than two weeks late :P  Anyway, Koko and her crew successfully capture Rabbit's foot and outwit the "Night Nine" - all thanks to Koko's and Dr. Minami's super computer "Jormungand."  Oh, and Lutz gets shot in the ass . . . again.  The highlight of the episode however, was definitely Koko's big revelation of her plan.  That certainly inspired a few jaw dropping moments from most of her crew, and unintentionally managed to drive Jonah away. What's worse, was his reaction towards the whole situation. Let's just say, Koko won't be the only one who will have a hard time letting him go.

Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun 12 - 13 [Final]

I know it's a little late for these final impressions, but if I don't get my thoughts out there, they will forever haunt me in my dreams and I would have to live with the shame as the aniblogger who never delivered her final impressions on Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun! :P

So it's about time I write my final impressions of Jormungand and since this is another double episode arc, I will change my format for this and discuss the arc as a whole.

Kimi to Boku. 2: 13 - Final Impressions

I figured that the last episode would be about Shun's thoughts on his days after high school. I just thought it would be a matter of missing his friends and not so much about his future plans, but it makes sense that he would worry about that.

Winter(11-12) Anime: Final (brief) Impressions

Yo! Just briefing you in on my final impressions from last season's anime.

In no particular order: [Black★Rock Shooter, Ano Natsu de Matteru, Another, Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou, Papa no Iu Koto wo Kikinasai, and Inu x Boku SS]. Can't believe we are starting a new season again. Guess it's time to move on . . .

Guilty Crown: Final Impressions

There is no doubt that Guilty Crown was one of the most visually stunning to watch. From the music to the animation, Guilty Crown became a favorite among many. However, plot-wise and character-wise . . . it could use a little more work.
